Had two guide trips this weekend. One on Friday afternoon and one on Saturday.
Friday first.

Fished with Dr. O and his grand daughter Friday afternoon. Got the live bait on Thursday so we would not have to mess around wasting their fishing time with doing that on Friday which can take up to an hour or two. I call these afternoon fishing trips an EXPRESS TRIP which runs 40/hr. We caught a little of everything. Largemouth, Spotted bass, catfish, drum, Rock fish, Sauger. We just needed a smallmouth to make it complete which we almost had one we just could not get the fish in the boat. Dr. O's grand daughter was quick to learn how to cast as well as bait her own hook... No Girlie girl hear fellows and she can catch those fish. By the time it was dark she had mastered the art of free lining as you will see from the photo's. We had about 30 minutes of daylight left and we tried some striper fishing and made 4 drifts with 3 fish hook-ups Dr. O's grand daughter was hooked on those striper. It's been hit or miss with those fish all year. I kinda wished we had started out with fishing for the striper but I think Dr O will be back for another round with the striper.

Saturday 10-14

I took Amber and Blake from B-ham Alabama we caught lots of fish just like the day before only this time we had the smallmouth. Blake let a 4 1/2 or 5 lber break him off right at the boat wich we gave him a hard time about most all day. And Amber boated a nice 4 or 4 1/2. They caught some Magnum Spots and Largmouths as well as some giant Drum. We changed our bait over from shad to chicken liver and boated a few nice cats. All in all great weekend weather wise a little chilly Satuday morning. My thumb looks like a piece of raw hamburger meat which is a good problem to have if you are a guide.

Oh man are you ever going to catch it.... it is "striper," not "stripper." Surely you did that on purpose just for TT's sake. emoPoke

Awesome catch and beautiful pics.... are you certain that one fish is a sauger and not a walleye? I think I see a white tip on lower lobe of the tail, which would indicate it's a walleye and not a sauger. Great fish regardless... as are they all.

Wow, looks like your getting on them good BFG. Does look like a Walleye, could be the camera angle though. Where are you netting your bait, are you dipping or throwing the net? I'm ready to get down there too. Great reports and really nice fish.

Great pictures. Glad to see some Stripers back. Freelining is my favorite way to catch those fish at the Dam.emoThumbsup

That fish sure does look like a walleye.....I talked to Captain Berry at the ramp Saturday evening and he said he had a good day.....he had released all the fish but he still had proof, he had very little skin left on his thumb and part of his palm from lipping fish!!!

:) Glad to see I'm not the only person who causes a striper/stripper controversy! It's an easy mistake to make ... and a funny one sometimes! Welcome to the Stripper Club Dude!

Anyway .. Richard's right ... very nice pictures of some happy fishing folks.

Good Job and Post!
