Fished Friday morning and caught a mix of striper and hybrids. I think three must be my limit per morning trip. Met with another guide from Atlanta First Bite guide service and what a great guy and knowledgable. We met here on CFF and he came up to Nick-A-Jack to fish for the day so I met him over there. But we limited out on drum with about a 1,000 lbs by 10 oclock and I had to go up to Murfreesboro for some business and pay some bills. I got back a littel early and I went back for the late evening bite and only caught one fish about 10lbs.
Took two friends of mine Bass Fishing Saturday morning, TVA was not generating any water below the dam so Plan B fell into action. We caught approx. 35 to 40 bass. I think 3 1/2 lbs was the largest and we caught fish every where we went. Lots of 2 and 3lb fish and all fish were laid out already and extremly thin. Hooked up on two really good fish that came off due to a foul hooked shad. Saw a man catching some bream on crickets and he had a basket full of HUGE shell cracker and bream. I took my son fishing Saturday afternoon and we had a blast reeling in some bream and shell cracker. We fished to dark and managed about 30 to 40 bream and we had some giants. I baited the hook and my son would cast out and reel them in. I would take the fish off and bait the hook while he was reeling in the next fish. We had an assembly line going.
Took some ladies (all sisters) fishing Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours and what a great time they had. I took them bass fishing up and around Mullins Cove (nice and scenic) They caught 8 or 10 fish with a 2 1/2 being the largest. These gals were not your typical foo foo girls either. They baited there hooks and took the fish off as well. It was evident that there daddy had taken them fishing.
All in all had a great weekend of fishing catching about 12 differnt species of fish (Stripe, Hybrid, Drum, Skip Jack, Yellow tails, Largemouth, Smallmouth, spotted bass, blue gill, shell cracker, channel cat and perch) ranging in weight from 20+ lb drum, to the yellow tails that I use. I had 7 different people in the boat this weekend and all had a great time. Take someone fishing the fish are biting.
