Nickajack 3/18.......sucked

Well, my brother and I hit Nick around 3pm yesterday. I was pretty windy so we just motored up to Mullens Cove to see if any spawners were around. I had a great strike on my 3rd cast and then nothing. We did not put a single fish in the boat. There was a really cold wind that had kicked up and just killed it for us. When we got back to the ramp we were the last vehicle there and it wasn't dark yet. We threw spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, rat-l traps, trick worms, and shallow cranks. Just not much happening.

DAVO, you have PM in your box check it out! Yeah Nickajack sucked for us on Sunday but the CBA was won ther with 19lbs saturday.

CBA won below Chick dam. Big smallie 7.68. I know it is still considered Nickajack, but its river fishing compared to Mullens Cove or Browns Lake down.

Yep, i know those boys were below the dam because they beat us out of the money a few weeks ago down there on the jack and I heard them talking about the water shutting off I figured thats where they went b/c I never saw that bullet on the lower end. Congrats to those fellas! that was one football of a smallie! My partner and i had 3 solid keepers but didnt bother to weigh in for the CBA. We are not going for points b/c their classic is in the middle of the rut. We did enjoy the tourney and learned alot! Lesson #1: NNE winds at 20mph suck!
