Took my wife bream fishing in mullins cove saturday evening (what a cool date) trolled down the bank letting her drown crickets while i fished for bass... needless to say she caught bream and i caught nothing... went back to the nick today and fished just about all day and didnt get a bite.... talk about post spawn shutdown... fished cranks lizards spinners worms nada.......saw a lot of bass fry around docks so i hope in a few years they get big enough for me to jerk a knot in there head.... got a company dogfight coming up thursday... i think im hosed on this one

Try getting out on some of the breaks down river and throw big worms and crankbaits. I have been catching some schooling fish down there. Seems like they just turned on last week as a few decent fish have made it to deeper water.

I have been so busy this year that i havnt been able to get down that way.. usuallyany time in late april and up into may is a good time... any time there pulling current is a good time to give it a shot... just pitch up close to the bank on anything wood,,, i like using a crawdad type soft plastic
