Went yesterday morning 6a-1:30p. Started early with topwater landing a couple keepers. Topwater only lasted the 1st hr. Once sun came out started swimming worms in 6-8ft. Landed few more keepers and some shorts with largest keeper 3 1/2lbs. Around 10a started pitching jigs in the grass 8-10ft. The better bite was on the jig. Once you got bit you could catch several in the same area. Current, irregular features and points in the grass was the key. The lower end of the lake looks like it has been sprayed. Above Hales Bar the grass looks good. Anyone know when they sprayed or treated last?

The grass in Mullens looked like it had been sprayed. There was brown grass at the mouth of the upper and lower entrances causing the water to be stained.

I think they sprayed about two weeks ago , something about land owners wanting grass killed. They posted signs up at Bennets Lake ramp.

They had sprayed in Bennents lake area. Pointer and I fished in there Sat. All the docks had notices on them . I don't remember what the date was that Pointer said but I beleive it was the 19th. emoToast KEEP THEM ALIVE AND RELEASE THEM

That's right JSB.....they sprayed sometime in the middle of June....and they cut some boat paths out in the last couple weeks!
