Nickajack bass fishing?

Looking to take my pops out tomorrow for a good day of fishing on nickajack. Haven't been on the main lake portion but once for a few hours. Looking for any advice or tips for the area? Does it fish similar to the Chick? Putting in on the lower end by the dam. Thanks guys
