hello everyone, great forums.I am coming to Chattanooga next weekend to take my father in law fishing.I have never been on either lake before.I do alot of flipping and fish shallow.Just wondering which of these 3 lakes would be the best bet right now to take him and find a few fish and where's the best place to launch.I knoe this is alot just never been up before and I am so gracious for any help anyone will lend me.I will be staying I guess in North Chattanooga near Hamilton Place. Thanks alot.Dwayne B

Chick's on fire right now, but there will be at least 2 tournaments on that date! You can catch fish year round in any lake around here flipping, so have at it!

Youve come to the right place!

I am not a bass fisherman anymore, but the basser guys are killing them on the Chick right now from reports. I would take HWY 58 north untill you see the lake, and you can put in at Wolftever ramp(cant miss it!). Wolftever creek (go left out of ramp) has terrific fishing, as well as Harrison Bay(go right out of ramp-under the bridge), and there are humps, channels, several islands, flats, shallow water, deep water, you name it. There are fish all over that bay, and if your a bass fsherman, you will know where to go pretty quick. Hope you have luck, and plaese post a report for us....with pics!

Actually, you could follow me around if you like...I'm not your BEST bet to find fish, but I can show you the lay of the lake if nothing else, and I DO occasionally find 'em.

Stop at Hamilton's sport shop on hwy 58 and buy a map of the lake on your way to Wolftever Creek.
