Got down early saturday morning . the water was up and all the floodgates were spilling..Fished the first wingwall in the dead lock and had a keeper spot on within two casts. I used the same watermelon-red finesse worm that I have used in the last few trips.. Worked all day for me Found most of the fish to be hanging just about a boats length away from the ends of the lock walls holding on current. didnt do too well up inside the locks even though i watched two guys wear the sauger out in there. Floated down and fished the barge tie ups on the right side and caught a couple Met two fellows down there who had come down from Tullahoma to fish. He was using a watermelon finesse worm too but he had his on a jig head..They decided to go across and fish the tie ups over by where they load scrap. Seen him a couple hours later back up in the locks and he pulled out a 5 or 6 lb smallie that he had caught over there.. really nice fish.. all together i probably caught about15 to 20 spots with very few of them being small fish.. I have switched to P-line flouro and I think it has made a huge difference in my fishing... most fish caught in 15 to 20 ft of water and water was 52 degrees...

Good report Sandskeeter, Say you like that P-line. I'm with ya. I tried it for drop shoting. Cory Nichols out at Sportsmans Warehouse suggested it to me. I'm using the Evolution. It's a copolymer & I"m realy impressed with it so far. Says that it's three types of nylons blended together & has some type of abrasion resistant additive. All I know is that it has almost no stretch, is realy sensitive & the other day I had a small 1& 1/2lb. bass rap me around a metal dock piling & when I got over to get him undone there was no damage to the line what so ever. I didn't even retie. Unlike all the other new floros this stuff is about $7-$8 bucks VS $15-$16 bucks, for about 300 yards. I'm thinking about giving it a shot on my casting rods in 12-17lb. test. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. Which P-line were you using?

I was using straight flouro in the 8lb.. i tried flouro a couple of years ago and had problems with breaking..I used a regular trilene knot and never had no problems at all.. in fact i didnt retie at all just to see if i could break it... fished at least two days without a retie. mind you this was just a test and if i was tourney fishing that wouldnt happen, but it has impressed me. gonna try it on some baitcasters, hoping for the best
