Nickajack Dam 3-28-06 mixed bag

Hey all .. Fished below nick dam, saw flip1up .. he caught a real nice striper , 18-20 range, I took picture for him .. I guess he will post it here later .. I didnt have much luck with the shad.. I gotta get me a cast net. Anyway I did catch a few nice hybrid stripes and white bass my self 1 to 3 lb range .. I drifted down to where the Sequatchie river dumps out .. caught several small spots and smallmouth one keeper smallmouth, took this picture my self picture sux worst pic I ever posed for. Even caught a huge drum on a spot near the boat ramp.</p>

I went back to the dead lock to get us some more bait and you had already gone down river. Good to see ya. I know what you mean about taking pics of yourself with fish, they never turn out. I took a pic of a spot I caught today that was about 2.75 or better and the fish looks like a 1 pounder.

Cant miss my boat lol .. lil 1978 15 ft blue/white tri hull bass boat, with 70hp evinrude,  old and ugly but it floats, and now runs good too. check out my web site on my profile to see pic of it

Saw the picture...looks like you have come a long way with her...how is that motor running...I know you cleaned it out last week..is it purring like a kitten?

Actually on the way back to ramp started acting up some .. bogged down, and died when I put it back down to idle, but started right back up .. Im beginning to think I still have some other issues.. maybe power pack or something .. the carbs are spotless , fresh plugs.. I guess I need to take it to a mechanic and give to them to work out the kinks .. I just cant afford that at the moment so Ill just keep trying some diagnostic stuff in the service manual till I figure out what the real deal is .. compression is about 120 on all 3 cyl. Seems to be an issue only if I run more than 3 or 4 miles straight .. short trips 1 mile or less its fine.

Hey there NRG have you checked the fuel filter. Sometimes they have them on the fuel line and other times it is in the engine but that will cause what you just discribed, it happened to me once.emoCool Jmax
