Finally got the boat in the water at about 11:00 figured we would try drifting with live bait once the current started pulling good unfortunately it was awfully crowded and we didn't manage to pick up any stripers. I saw a few caught probably in the 10-15 lb range. We did however catch the smallest bass I have ever seen that sucker was about 2 inches long and hit a tube jig. I saw a few caught probably in the 10-15 lb range. Better luck next time I guess.

I figured that Nickajack would be packed on Saturday. Were they running any water? Do you know what the Stripers were caught on? Thanks for the report, heading out there on Tuesday to see if we can get any big ones interested.

some folks were drifting live shad and I saw a few people throwing bucktails. Mostly it was the shad. They finally turned the water on around 2 or so. I had never fished like that before where people are constantly running into each other. We had anchored about 300 yards down and to one side of the dam and the same guy ran into me twice! I need to go sometime with one of you guys that knows what your doing thats for sure. Its really frustrating to see that many fish caught and not have any on your line.

You mean he literally ran his boat into yours while you were anchored? I havent seen it that crowded this year, the fishing must be hot right now.

Sounds crazy out there. I try to go on the weekdays if at all possible. Too many boats makes it stressful and then it is not worth it to me. Give me a PM if you want to go sometime. I can go just about anytime during the summer.

I was picking out a backlash so I was looking down and he drifted plumb into me I couldnt believe it. I counted 23 boats at one point.
