Nickajack Strategy?

Hey guys I'm thinking about getting away from the chickamauga fishing pressure this weekend and gonna drive down to Marion County Park. Never fished Jack this time of year and any input on what to look for would be greatly appreciated. I read the reports from a few days ago saying the fishing wasn't great but I'm just looking for a little change of scenery and less boat traffic. Thanks again for your help!

We always used to just fish rip rap banks with shakey heads and jerk baits. Also a trap usually gets bit pretty good on staging areas.
