I fished Nasty jack today and NO luck at all. i seemed like i threw everything in the boat. Water was 41.0 degrees most every where i went. If i get a chance to go again over the weekend any body know where i could get some dynamite, it's the only thing i didn't throw lol. emoCool

Did you fish the river or the lake? Did you fish shallow or deep? Do you know of any shelves off the river channel to fish?

Do you know of any springs in Nickajack that you could fish? With the water so cold I would expect the bite to be slow. If you know where a spring is, the water will be ~54 degrees and the fish will be packed in there, especially if it's near flow. I would fish near the river channel either on drops or shelves with good flow if you don't know of any springs. I know of one that we used to fish near in the summer but I've never fished it in the winter. I don't know if it has enough flow to attract fish but I know that it did in the summer.

Guys there is a spring about 6-7 miles down river from Suck creek ramp. Found it the same evening I got stuck out there with starter problems. I couldnt tell you where in relation to a known area or mile marker, but there are some huge bolders on the left side of the river and it comes out of there, its in an area where the river narrows down quite a bit.
