I've never had any success at night on the Chick....a lot I believe due to the fact that I'm not really sure where to fish. If anyone could give me a few pointers that might head me in the right direction....something to give me a little confidence it would be greatly appreciated.

Find a ledge that drops off deep around in 14 to 16 feet of water. Move in towards the flat until your boat is in 7 to 10 feet of water. Start slow rolling a spinnerbait over the grass in all directions. Keep moving around the flat slowly moving deeper towards the ledge until your spinnerbait gets hammered. Oh...have a net handy!

I used to night fish to get away from the crowd. Not the case anymore. Just ride around till you see a crowd of boats and make a note of where they were lol. Seriously though, the bite is getting tough lately. Tie on a spinnerbait and chunk and wind until you get bit. It is tiring but can also be rewarding.

thanks for the tips both of you...I'll get to slinging that spinnerbait and hope something happens...

^^^ what both of them said. Slow roll that spinnerbait where its right above the grass, Chatterbait gets bit a little more for me but better quality on a spinnerbait. Make sure that spinnerbait has a big ole colorado blade on it!
