What is the best color lights for use inside the boat when night fishing that doesn't attract bugs.
I've read that red is best then another article says green. What say you, fishermen?

I have got red led bluewaters all around the inside of my boat and love them i dont know how to post pics or i would

Most headlamps have red LED . Useful for up close such as tying lures or hopefully unhooking a fish.

I have blue lights and they work well. The red may be s little easier on the eyes though.

I have the red and green LED navigation strips and when on, the green side is FULL of bugs while the red side barely has any. Thats the main reason i put red on my deck (my boat is also red). I dont notice the red attracting any bugs.

I've read that the red doesn't attract as many bugs as any other color.
It is also easier on your eyes during darkness. I want these for inside
the boat while crappie fishing at night so I think that is the way I'll go.
Didn't want to try to reinvent the wheel, (light) so that's why I was asking.
I have decided to get red strip LED's with the stick on backing strip.
Found them on E-Bay for a good price so I'll try them.
Thanks for the response.

Thanks to all for the response. I'll try the red strip line LED's
and see how they work for inside the boat. emoGeezer emoThumbsup
