Im not going to get into an argument about high fences and ethics, but let me just say that there are different operations out there and some of them actually run a good program and offer true hunting experiences without baiting and drugging deer. Having said that, there are also LOTS of high fence operations that throw ethics out the window, and drug the deer and set them free 120 yds from your stand right at daylight. That to me is crap! But I hate that some well run, 5000 acre high fences get slammed constantly just because they have a fence up. In most cases, the fence is there to keep things OUT, instead of keeping the deer IN. Now I do not know the case of this particular situation, so i am by no means trying to defend anyone here. But there is a HUGE difference in a 3,000-5,000 acre tract and and a 300-500 acre tract behind a fence. I would like to know the full story on this animal, and a story of the plantation it was harvested on.
