I watched this the other night, and it was a good movie right up till the end for me. I HATED the way they left it so open. Did he kill the wife, did he get caught or killed? I had to rewind the movie to even verify that Lewellen died in the doorway...too vauge the way it was filmed, I wasnt sure it was him. :( :(

i feel ya, i saw it in theaters with two buddies and when it ended i sat there for 10 minutes waitin for something to happen. i mean that guy had a broken arm and he just walked off... terrible movie

it was a decent movie.. very slow at times.. my biggest complaint was the pathetic ending... or lack-of a quality ending i should say.

Agreed... great movie, ending made me mad.

I expect writers to write the COMPLETE story for me... I don't want to think. That's why I watch movies... so I can quit thinking.

I agree with rsimms here.. however, i will say the endings are fine left open, only IF a sequel is to follow. I would have no problem with No Country... if they plan on making a sequel, which I would venture to say they will NOT be making. For example, the Saw series. I absolutely love the story lines in this series. Although quiet gruesome and hard to watch sometimes, the story line(s) in this series are awesome. Just my .02.

You had to really pay attention to the beginning for the end to make sense. I watched it three times before the light bulb came on.

I saw it . You know he killed the wife, and walked away. He was a mean SOB. Good movie.

I thought it was one of the three dumbest movies I have ever wasted time watching.
Wow! Of all the posts I've read from Ronnie, this one made me laugh outloud. Ronnie, you are ALWAYS such a positive guy and I wouldn't have thought you'd have thought this about this particular movie. But the ending did suck, really bad. Have to agree with Richard all the way down the line....

The only good thing about the movie to me was Woody Harralson had only a bit part and got blown away quick.

There were way too many people doing extremely stupid things for me. Even the "hero" acted real smart and careful then acted like he did not have a brain other times. Too inconsistent.

If Llewelyn hadn't made a bad shot on the Pronghorn the movie wold have been over real quick.

Chigurh killed the wife. He had no other reason for being there except to keep his promise. If you look closely as he leaves the house he checked his shoes for blood as he walked out the door onto the porch.

Chigurh walked away from the wreck. He was hurt but heck the guy had already been shot and did self surgery so he was tough.

I didn't like the ending either but Tommy Lee Jones' dream was his self admission that time had passed him by and he would be joining all the other "old Timey Sheriffs" soon. He was over matched and not prepared die for something he did not understand. So he walked away.

You have to read the book. it was pretty amazing and goes into much more detail. Popeyedpete nails it though. When TLJ goes to talk to his old Uncle about the indians coming to kill for no reason its just saying that Evil has always been around and will always be around. Chigurh was being shown as that indian back in the day. Im not too sure whats up with this interviewer ( I think Bumble Bee Kid knows him) but this explains it pretty well.

Maybe im missing something but i loved the flick, watched 2or3 times and would agian.

i thought it was ok at best. but for my tastes, its like most hollywood hyped award winning movies... they're not good. 'there will be blood was also hailed as this great flick...snore...
i'm still waiting for a hollywood masterpiece to try and climb the same pedestal as 'dumb and dumber'... hasn't happened yet. not even close.

That's what I thought last night when I watched it.
