No Fishing Boats in the water !

I just came across Nickajack on I 24 about 6:30. There was ONE trailer at Marion County boat ramp. I could see almost to the dam on one side and as far as Hales Bar on the other side and there wasn't a fishing boat in sight. I haven't seen it this empty since February. I'm used to seeing at least a dozen boats every evening. The lake looked deserted.

It's powerfully HOT out there !!emoSun

Good gosh. I got out there today for about 2 hours and thought I was going to melt. It was showing 101 when I got on the water. There was NO WAY I could stop and fish in open water. I turned tail and head for the house.

Sandskeeter and I launched at 7:00 p.m. and it was still 96 degrees. I lost a good litre of sweat and I now smell like a goat to boot.

It was so hot here yesterday that I saw a bird using a potholder to pull a worm out of the ground and the trees are whistling for the dogs.LOL emoBigsmile

No way can I stand it out there right now, as much as I love to fish. Can't wait til cooler weather.

Me and Cheez just got off the water, and it was awesome out there! Wind blew good, had a little cloud cover on and off, and I hardly though about the heat at all. VERY nice day. I am gonna let Cheez post the fishin report first though.

Nice looking fish and good looking couple of kids. We saw ya'll out there today. Spurhunter and I were in the brown G3 center console. We caught a bunch of cats too.
