My son , a buddy , and I went out the other day to try and catch some bass. I casted out my watermelon seed ole monster and caught a small one. It swam across the top of the water about 4 feet . I got it to the boat and lifted it up out of the water . It fell off right in the boat. I got it and put it back in . I was going to fix my worm back on the hook , to my surprise , the hook never came tru the worm, lol. He had to be soooo hungry , that the little guy hung on to that worm until he was out of the water . That was the first time I have caught a fish and didnt even hook it.

I have had the spotted bass on the Emory do that before. They are so aggresive, they will not let go. I had a spot one day that hit a fluke, I pulled it up and it was just hanging on, when I let it go it just stayed right around the boat. The next cast when the fluke got back to the boat, here came the spot , and grabbed it again. I was amazed

One day at Watts Bar I got a hit on a c-rig , set the hook , felt like a decent bass and when I got him to the boat I seen something trailing behind him . It was my lizard . The bass had my 1oz sinker in his mouth ! The 3 lber didn't let go till he was in the net .

Thats some funny stories. It is amazing that they will be that aggressive . Wished all bass were like that 24 / 7 .
