I have a 96 Javelin 400SE (20') with a 98 Johnson 200 Venom. I blew the motor in "06". Before it blew it had no problem running 72 (G.P.S.) with 2 people and loaded. I bought a "94" 200 Venom, mounted in the same location and the same prop. At 50mph or so it will come up on pad if you aint in it hard. While on pad it has ZERO roostertail and about 35 psi of water pressure at 5000rpm. If you hammer on it it will fall off pad and slip, but if you ease into it it will gain about 300rpm and run about 60mph. I figured the motor aint as powerfull as the old one or the prop has lost its cup. I tried a Raker26 but it would only run about 55mph. I have a Hyd. jackplate and have tried all heights and trim positions but cant break the 63mph mark and the pressure is still about 28psi with it trimmed so high it wont grip ( big rooster tail).....Any ideas
