emoScratch Come on guys and gals, let's see some venison on the hoof. Has no one killed anything worth posting? I sure have the fever to be in the woods and have been going. Yes, as I sit here itching bug bites and putting on itch lotions. emoRolleyes It has been a warm one so far. I have seen one wall hanger from the stand at about 65 yards running after a doe who had just busted me. My bow aim is not good enough for a running buck at 65 yards. emoDoh Yesterday I went, I saw two huge eight pointers, one four and 10 doe and then I got to the camp. emoMad Yep, all those were driving there! Once I got there and the sun came up I never saw the first deer, heck for that matter I never even saw a freaking squirrel from the stand! emoCrazy It was not my day, my corn feeder, which are legal in AR, had stopped working, it appeared the little control panel had shorted out. emoAngry I had a bow with me so if a buck came by I could shoot it, a bunch of guys here yesterday had rifles, it was the first day of "Doe only with modern gun on private lands.", I did not hear one shot at a deer. emoRedface I think someone must have told the deer what was going on.

It has been tough here with the weather, warmth and rains. If you have a decent one to post I would love to see and hear it. Hearing of a successful hunt is better then nothing. emoBigsmile Jmax

Probably b/c its hard to post pictures on here.......I feel like people would post more pics if they actually knew how to and it wasn't such a process.....I always love seeing the pictures. Just started practicing with a bow a couple weeks ago, so we will see what happens.....

Portos33, I agree with you. The size restriction makes it hard if you take one from a camera. Most cell phones just don't have resolution to make a shot look good. Disk size is cheap enough now, so maybe !!

I just realized the pic was upside down in my first attempt to attach a pic...basically I had found some scrapes and knew where some deer bedded in a thicket but needed a east wind to hunt the area so we had a north east wind and some rain and as I was sneaking in to my stand the deer stood up. With the wind and rain he did not immediately spot me and he had bedded about 40 yards from my stand and I saw him stand up. I wish he had another three or four inches of spread but the mass was decent..
