Not from these parts

After doing some looking around at forums for Chattanooga, this one seems to be one of the better ones. I am coming down in mid march for 2.5 weeks putting a kitchen in my uncle and aunts house. I am bringing the boat with...I am from Minnesota and we will still have ice until mid april. I can't wait to fish open water. Nickajack looks like my first stop...love the smallies. Some of the pictures from the past look great. Not looking to rob people's spots but I am hoping to glean some tips to make our trip a success. I am bringing my family and my 12 year old son is looking forward to it as well. Thanx for the great site.

Hope you can get on the fish when you make your way down here... Most of the smallmouth you're refering to coming out of Nickajack have probably been caught below Chickamauga dam. Hopefully the weather cooperates here soon because the fishing isnt so great right now. Lots of rain and snow lately, lots of water running through the Tennessee River... and to add to that the water temps are alot colder than usual as well as it being as muddy as chocolate milk.

But you never know... weather will hopefully warm up. We are looking at warmer weather by the end of next week, from then on out I can only hope it stays warmer!
