I dropped my boat off at Nichols Marine Monday afternoon after i discovered nothing but water in the lower unit when I went to drain it. As usual its a bad prop shaft seal. Third time I had this happen with a fat shaft Mercury. I expect i will get it back tomorrow but this cool weather has given me the fever and I'm ready to hit the water. Ty also checked my engine over pretty good and didn't find anything wrong with it. I tried to get him to stick a 300XS on it while Carter was out to lunch but he didn't go for it. Oh well...

Boy, you can say that again. I can relate. I am sooooo glad to have mine back. emoBigsmile Just knowing it is there and I can slip off and go makes a big difference. BS, you know if you want to go you can hold down my back seat if you would lower yourself enough to ride in my boat. emoTongue Don't have the air craft carrier you do, don't have the electronics you do, don't have all the bells and whistles you have and I sure don't have a toilet on my boat. emoDoh But it does ride will and have the rep of boating a few. emoGoofy Jmax

Ive been with out a boat for a year.. talk about what sux lol

I've never had a boat, only been on other ppl's so... HA! and yeah, its sux!

BUT on second thought so does the idea of running into various problemas with ownership of the boatella and spending my dollars toget it fixed so...

I was wondering what they found. Yes it sux being without a boat but look on the bright side you did come across it before you were running 80 plus up the river. Imagine how fun it would have been if the lower locked up and you went flying out. The boat/motor can be replaced but you cant.

Boat is back home where it belongs now. Many thanks to Ty down at Nichols Marine for the good work. He went over the engine with a fine toothed comb and got the lower unit fixed as good as new.

Yea, unfortunately he does....

This is why I like Lance, (go with me here), he's a better sport than most. If I had said that about anyone else, I would have gotten a PM, with a nasty comment. Lance has thick skin.
