Backed the boat to the ramp at 10:30 last nite , got out and knew my game plan was shot...there were waves slapping the ramp at Hornsby Hollow.....Plans were to fish main channel islands mostly and some points....with jigs ,shaky`s and plastics mostly...
Intended to drop troller at ramp and chunk the buzzer and spinner for a while ....needless to say that was out...That area is about a 10-12 mile long straight and wide too so it was near white cap condition...may have been .
went across lake to a place I thought might be less windy and it was but 24v low would just barely hold us in place enough to throw some worms and craws with about a 10 foot bow in the line. Got bit several times but with bow in line was hard to hook up , finally stuck one 13 incher..
Kept thinking the wind would die sooner or later...after moving quite a bit to get out of it ,..caught several dinks..but the better fish bite seemed to be on the main channel points and banks .Finally gave up about 4:00 am ...still near white cap conditions !!

me and brother put in about 6:30pm at the damn that night. We fished a small dogfight there,it was miserable.Wouldnt to bad starting out but as it got later we thought wind would die down but got worse. We never had any keepers it was bad couldnt get out wind it was a rough night.

When I was at the golf course, I was wondering how you guys were doing in the stiff breeze. That big water down there can get a little rough at times. Sorry to hear it didn't go well.

oh well that`s the way it goes sometimes....we decided to go to watts bar instead of hitting loudon (10 min from the house) because they were running water on the bar and none on the fort ...so much for the well laid plans of men and mice !!
