yes they can give it away but it would be a good idea that the kill tag stays with the meat. it is agaist the law to sell wild game meat but you can give it away.
 
Yes, the animal may be given away. There is even a "Hunters for the Hungry" program for donating kills for food banks and soup kitchens.

I haven't found the official answer to the implied second part of the question, but since you can be given the animal and pay to have it processed, I would think that you can share the expense of processing with another and then share the meat. If anyone finds anything on this, please let us know.
 
I would just let these last couple threads die down a bit if I were you. You should not have to explain anything to anybody if you dont want. Just my .02

Busten got it right, the infomation or the kill tag must stay with the meat. You can give it away but you need to fill out the information. Some manuals have transfer tags. I have not looked this year in the TN book but in Arkansas they added a couple transfer tags just for that reason. emoThumbsup Jmax
 
Wild game dinners at churches has become popular over the last few years,game wardens are at the events at my church, surely some meat is donated. At least it is at my church.
