NRG Just bought a Merc 150.. another one for Wrechin2 to Do his Magic

Hey .. After seeing some of Wretchin2 aka James's work and seeing what a boat he rebuilt shoot out of the hole like a rocket .. and it wasnt even broke in yet, last weekend .. Im determined to have that my self.

I bought a 1987 Merc 150 that was blown but re-buildable complete engine for 200 bucks from a guy didnt have the controls or the prop.
I also found a guy that has 2 motors, a 150 and a 200 for $500 both have bad lower units , the 200 is blown, but James can use parts off of the 200 on my 150, to make mine a power house as he did on Similar to what he did on Carl Guffy's but of course his was a 2.5 and mine is only a 2.0, but on my Hydra-Sport its gonna prob get me to at least 70 maybe even 80 .. prob scare me to death never been over 60 in a boat, at least with me driving lol .. but if I need the speed it will have plenty of reserve.

I cant wait .. but it will prob be a while before I can get all the parts needed together and then James having time, and me havin the cash to pay him for the machine work .

Hopefully by Feb or March Ill have all I need to get this new motor on the boat.. so in the mean time I will be put putin along with my erude 90

OH yeah!!!! So you like my engines huh??? You got to see 2 of them in action. Should feel the pull of my engine. It is freaking impressive!!!! Got to love the sound of a modified merc!!!!!!!!!

emoThanks emoThanks Doc, I got yours to mid 60's so 70 shouldn't be a problem with his boat. It wieghs in around 825#.

580-9277 I put yours on my speed dial .. you were supposed to come by or call me about the Fenwicks and the Garmin ..now if you add a prop .. I will have to redo your entire boat, your truck and your wifes car too lol

AS far as the prop.. I will have to try different props until we get the right prop .. for the boat and motor .. I need to find a jack plate as well.. Im not sure what size jack plate to get .. 6 , 8 , 10, 12 ? guess that will have to wait till the motor is done or close to done
