I found another boat that I really like a Astro F20 1997, and the price is very right, no motor, but now that Im about to have a 150 rebuilt, I now have the option of selling mine with the 88hp , trolling motor, garmin fishfinder, for those of you who arent familar with my boat my boat is a 1985/86 model 17 ft Hydra Sport that has new transom, stringers, floor, new paint, 20oz carpet, seats, gauges.
Trailer still needs painted , but will if someone is serious about buying .. any real offers ?

Any offers over $3500 considered with or without the evinrude motor.. thats about what I have in the boat in materials, so for those who are serious and have the cash or credit .. I will start the bids from there, and see where it goes.. keep in mind Im in no hurry to sell .. the other boat is prob not going any where any time soon, and my 150 has yet to be rebuilt so Im in no hurry.. but if your serious it may sell quick

no comments lol .. I figured I'd hear some of your nutz comments lol

It is a nice redone boat, bad time of the year to try and sell it. You should post it on the Bass Home Page and see if you get some interest. emoThumbsup

emoUpsmile emoUpsmile emoUpsmile emoUpsmile . MAN....Right in the gut...

You need to keep in mind that small CI (121) 2.0L doesn't like heavy boats.....Would be VERY well suited for that light hull you have now. If the stratos is a 20' with some weight to it, it will not carry it too well. Like a 305 runs good in a S-10 but put it in a dump truck and see what happens. JMO....

What if we rebuild the 200 hp and put it on the new boat ? will the lower unit on the 150xr2 work with the 90's 200hp ? and I Give you the 2 150s .. what else would we need to buy to to mod the 200 if it is rebuildable to make it like guffy's The boat Im wanting to get is a ASTRO F20 1997 the guys on Scream and Fly say its a fast boat.. I think the max on the boat is rated for is 175?
According to NADA the boat weighs 2250 the Hydra is 850.. a little more than half the weight of the Astro, but I really like the layout of the Astro, but that dosent sound right I was told that model was about 1400lbs ...2250 is more than a ranger same size and year

2200lbs and fast. Must be like a Stroker. Heavy but fast. Only rated for a 175??? That sounds strange.

The 200 would put you ahead of the game. If may be a easy fix....The 200 2.4 is a chrome bore and not portable. The chrome may chip and becomes $$$$$$ to fix it. Hope it is a 150 XR4 that he is calling a 200 and that can be made into a monster. It is portable. The 200 can have piston work done(change the shape of the piston ports), heads cut, front stuffed and shaved, ECT. It will have some nuts. The lower will work on it and will actually help if it is still a 2:1 case. it allows the engine to multiply the torque while using a bigger pitch prop. On a heavier boat, it will help launch it. Most of the time with minimal loss of top end speed. Sometimes it will have more. It is one of those try thing.

I can promise you that boat doesn't weigh that!! My super pro 200that I used to have is the same hull and weighed 1450 and will fly. I don't know what's up with nada but it is an astro f20 very fast it had a promax 225 that was from mecurys sport jet division. Forget nada!!!!!!!!I know what it is!!!!

Ok James .. here I go .. I know the 150 souped up will be faster on my boat this is for sure .. but I sure like the layout of the AStro.. and it already has controls and jackplate .. Ill get those other two motors .. and will bring them over you can see what is what that way.. I sure would be nice to be able to try the rebuilt mod motor on the astro before I sell mine .. You got one thats been modified similar to mine so we can see what it will do ?

None that could be put on yours. If the 2.4 is buildable then it will push the chit out of it. The only modified engine I have mine that we have on Wes's bullet. It would not be a good one to compare to because as you seen, it is a beast!!!! I can't make a 2.0L have the power that my 2.5 has. I can make it very STRONG. If you would be happy with 60's or 70's then the 2.0L may work. I doubt if you could get taylor to turn loose of his. Not many people would want their engine taken off to try on another hull......

Yea and all the lock-tite we used when mounted the engine on the jack-plate would make it a real pain to get off!! emoPoke j/k emoLaugh

Have you looked at that 17ft Bullet In Dunlap, That thing was pretty sharp, and would smoke with that modified 150! emoEvil

Yea I saw the bullet .. But Id rather have the Astro, how much did they want for that bullet? I never stopped to see

You won't let him try my engine???LOL!!!

He has $3500 on the hull He will take less. I was nice and pulled a rope through it when I pulled everything off.
