Official CATCH Challenge Results

We had the rain again this year, but no hail or lightning. We are considering a name change, maybe "Drought Busters" emoLaugh emoLaugh. We were missing some of the top area anglers for a variety of reasons, but still had some in the field of 43 boats. We paid the top six finishers and one big fish of the day. The 10lbs LM and 6lbs SM weren't caught, but we wondered as one SM went to the scale. We had two bags over 20lbs. that didn't get a check. That's my kind of luck. Listed below are total weights and some of their bigger fish. Read'em and weep or say amen, your choice. BTW, our scales were certified this week.

1st Place Galen James/Tony Townsend 28.95lbs - 5.56lbs SM - 7.00lbs & 7.23lbs LM $2,500
2nd Place Rogie Brown/Michael Neal 27.89lbs - 6.14lbs & 6.91 LM $1,500
3rd Place Jamie Wells/Matt Wiley 26.16lbs - 6.38lbs LM - 5.22lbs SM $1,000
4th Place Brad James/Chuck James 23.67lbs - 5.52lbs LM $500
5th Place Robert Conine/Daniel Watson 23.47lbs - 7.61lbs LM - Big Fish of the Day $300 and $430
6th Place Tom Kizziah/Tom Kizziah III 22.48lbs - 5.52lbs LM $200

The gentleman that was to do the polygraph exams was hospitalized earlier this week and wasn't up to coming. We had spotters on the lake and talked with the lockmaster on two occasions to verify all is legit to the best of our ability. No protests were filed and these are considered final results.

We have our regular tournament trail event next Saturday at Grasshopper. $50 per boat - ya'll come.

Those are some great weights for not locking through. I am sure glad that I did not fish it. Me and junkies little 14 lbs looks pretty small up against those stringers. Way to go guys! emoWorthy Jmax

Had fun even in the rain. I Wish that 30+lbs I caught striper had been a bass. I'd be singing the Hallelujah Chorus! God bless everyone who fished it and a big "Well Done" to the tournament hosts.

oh goodness, it was a fun day, never stopped raining except for about 5 min. the wind wasn't bad though. i had a great time, that was my first CATCH tournament. didnt do that good but i am glad for those who did. i was fishing with Ditchdoc
