Official crappie rod.....

I finally decided to get the official crappie rod. After listening to polo rag me all last year when I used my bass stuff to crappie fish and then I went with drumking and had a blast using his crappie rod and reel I finally broke down and bought one today. Just a little late Christmas present to myself.emoAngel Cory at Sportsman Warehouse got out the Cardinal 101 for me and I loaded it with 4 lb test. I then went to Wally World and bought a Shakespear Micro Graphite 5 footer.emoBigsmile I have been playing with it this evening and I think I could feel an ant crawling on the line.emoWorthy It is going to take some time getting use to having an open face spinning reel. I have not owned one in about 30 years but this one sure does make the grade. Now if only I can catch them like my hero Mr. drumking and shoot a bass assassin into a cup at forty paces like my other crappie hero polo.emoToast Jmax

I have the same rod, but mine is 4'6". It's a great little rod, and when those crappie load up on it, you are in for a fight.
