oil bearings

I recenctly had a seal go bad replaced it an the very next trip another leaking seal or possible the wrong weight oil....Yet the owners manual called for the 50 wt oil...Although when i ran it the oil seemed to foam...So on the next go round i moved up to 85/90 wt...an so far so good...anyone had similar problems or thoughts about the oil filled bearings?

Is this seal in the lower unit and what motor?

90 wt is what you need to be running. Given thats trailer bearing your talkng about.
