Well when pulling to the dock yesterday I noticed oil dripping from the rear on my engine, the weep hole at the bottom where the head unit is. I brought it home and checked and sure enough there was 2 stroke oil all over the bottom of the engine. I checked all the lines coming from the oil injector tank and a couple were a little wet but nothing obvious. I could see where oil was running out of the tank from around the top where the oil level sensing unit screws in. I unscrewed it and checked the seal, nothing wrong with it. I screwed it back on and continued checking lines and such. It was only when I looked back at the cap that I had checked earlier that I noticed it was split along the top. The sides were separating from the top piece and thats where my oil is getting out from. This also explains the extra smoke as the oil was dripping down in front of the throttle bodies. Now I just have to find a place this morning where I can get a replacement. Any suggestions on that would help a lot..

Wes, my oil resevoir is/has been leaking forever due to a crack at the threads at the cap. I suppose from once over tightening. When trailering at full tilt it runs down the front of the motor and into my splash well. Yesterday I "super-glued it" and so far not a sign of a leak. A buddy told me if it starts to leak again.....epoxy/fiberglass it. They want a $139.00 for a new tank. Just a suggestion.
