OK Inside Hull transducer OR Mount on Transom

Just bought a lowrance 522 igps.......... whats you guys opinions on mounting in the hull and on the transom????

I am having alittle trouble getting it to stop cavitation on the transom but ive gotta play with it some more

I would mount it inside the hull. I just had Lowrance 28c put on the transom and had to take it back to get put inside the hull. It will stop reading if outside the hull due to it being out of water once you trim up.

Just make sure you have no air bubbles in your epoxy!!!!!!

Inside the hull works at high speed. Transom mount moves a little while you run and can miss read sometimes.

thats exactly what im running into.... it does fine untill i get trimmed out and it starts blinking one certain depth then goes to like 1.5 ft and blinks untill i slow down to half throttle
