I have some old lures that were given to me a couple of years ago in a antique tackle box a couple of old lures still with the boxes, to much stuff to name but there are a couple i wanted to share with you guy's its funny looking at these and seeing the evolution of lures and baits through the years.I thought it would be kinda neat to see some of these old lures again, And maybe you might know something about the ones that I posted. Maybe you started out with some of these, and if you wouldn't mind sharing some ofyour old lures and tackle with us. i remember my dad and others showing me some of these same types of baits, and you know i think thatwas the start of my falling in love with this Great American pass time. one of these lures is hand painted, one is a metal lure, ones a jitter bug, not sure about the copper or brass one found a date 1875 thought it was 1975 until i cleaned it and we looked at it with a magnifying glass. you decide!

Thank you all James JC

The Top lure and the 4th are spoon plugs, spoon plugs where big in the 60's - 70's and they are making them again. They where designed and developed by Buck Perry the Grand Father of structure fishing There is a whole system to spoon plugs trolling them. Buck died in Aug 2005, but his work lives on http://www.buckperry.com/ http://www.spoonplugger.net/

This isgreat guys thanks NRG, FA, and Madbomber, I like the way you guys brought great info to the table: and a very nice collection of baits, MB i can see were the torpedo was first started, the fourth lure on the third row looks like the hand painted job i have, theonly thing i can figure out is the one i have probably had chips on it and they tried to fix it. Can you imagine being in a TX were the only thing you could use is these old lures, i am thinking of starting a folder with all these lures because you just cant find collections like this everyday. and later on in afwe years we can post them again.thanks guys i hope some others will post some of there stuff. Take it easy
