how big is the tank? if youre using more than 2-3 gallons for that trip you got a problem. even at WOT you shouldnt use that much gas

32 gallon tank. Seems like it is using too much to me.

if youre burning 16gallons to go from Holly circle to eldridge then id say you definitely got a problem. i realize its an older motor but on the light hull you still shouldnt burn that much

That was with me running around 45 to 50 mph, basically just cruising

you need an Optimax! i burned 16gals sunday night, went from holly circle to above soddy island to down below pinky's back up to soddy island back down to hbsp and then back to holly circle and ran around fishing between all this. with a 250 on a much bigger heavier boat..................js
