I decided to fish last Friday so Thursday evening I pulled out the boat like any other time to plug the extension chord in. When I opened the battery compartment where my charger is mounted I noticed the red LED on the charger was lit up emoScratch emoQuestion. I knew this was strange because nothing should be lit up until I plug it in. The only way the light would go off was if I took the fuse links off of the battery. Thats good, but I can't charge the stupid thing with the wires unhooked! I hooked it back up and plugged it in and when I got out the next morning removed the fuse links again to prevent the battery from discharging into the charger. As soon as I hook the fuses back up the red light comes on emoBang. Does this sound familiar to anyone or does anybody have any ideas? So far my only thought is a bad battery. This wouldn't be too bad because its still under warranty like everything else on the boat. Nows the only good time for things to go wrong since I don't have to pay to be fixed. Thanks in advance for any help on the matter.

I havnt heard of anything like that on a onboard charger I know several people that have them they havnt heard of that I don't like on board chargers because deep cycle batteries are made to be charged real hard not trickle charged I use a 40 amp charger I can use my trolling batt for 4years befor I have to change them and it only takes 30min a battery with that charger to fully charge
