Don't really know anything about these and looking to get some information. I currently have a B & D cheapie portable that I bought at WM about 4 years ago. I have to "tap" on it to get it to work now so will be having to buy a new one. How do I know how many amps, banks, etc. to consider when looking for a new charger? Is the installation pretty simple or would I have to pay someone to install it? emoScratch

Looking at this one right now: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/s...07000?cmCat=CROSSSELL_PRODUCT#prodDescription

Any/all info appreciated.

emoThanks

I have a Bass Pro charger .Its ben on my boat for 3 years with no problems number of banks is how many batteries you have on your boat. Mine is a 3 bank 15 amp.

My boat came with a Guest 3 bank 10 amp charger. I used to think 10 amps was a little weak on a charging standpoint, but all three batteries charge completely in less than 8 hours. Its nice not to have to unhook a charger and put it away all the time. Just unplug the chord and go.

I've got a Minn Kota 345, three banks 15 amps per bank. Had it since 2007 and have had zero problems. I'm kinda starting to look at the stay-n-charge system though....
