On the River with Southerncats 1/1/2007

This one is for you DHAUN, we caught NOTHING today!

Southerncats and I hit it hard from about 9-3 on both wheeler and guntersville for blue cats. Every area we covered was pasted with cut skipjack, up to 6 rods, but no takers. It didn't look like the guys fishing for Sauger were doing that well either. It was cold and windy, at the end of the day I thought I was on the ocean. Nothing like kicking off the new year with some fishing though.

We fished your big cat spot that Mike said you guys have pulled a few 50 and 60s out of. No takers there either. Oh well, guess your pets needed a rest

This post reminds me of the last Wiskerfest that Dhaun and I fished in. We only baoted 3 small cats and spent the rest of the day feeling like we were in the ocean. I hate fishing in the wind and hate catfishing in the wind even more.
