Less then two weeks to go until the Tow Boat U.S. CBA classic is here, Nov. 7th and 8th.. Hard to believe the season is almost over. It seems to be all over the place on what and who might win this one. emoScratch Last year we all had high hopes of some great weights coming to the scales and it just was not to be. Still hard to believe with the likes of who we have fishing these CBA events that the local ringers could not muster more then they did. Just to remind everyone last year was won by Tony Townsend and Galen James with a two day total of 31.95 lbs. emoEek We are talking a five fish average of 16 lbs per day won it. I believe it only took 14.12 to get a $1,000.00 payment in that one. Just barely over 7 lbs a day.

But if you look at a couple of the more recent events this year it would appear this one may be a record kicker. The Monday Classic was just won by three bass tipping the scales at 22.36 lbs. emoWorthy The Heartland was won by seven fish weighing 40.49 lbs.!!!! emoEek Now if some team can find ten bass in that range we may break the record! However looking at a couple others you see just the opposite, the last Monday night regular event was won by one fish, the only fish brought in! emoCrazy Then the Fall Brawl was won with less then nine pounds.

Water fluctuation and temps all over the place can really mess you up. With this one being later then normal it will be interesting to see what happens. I feel someone will really kick some butt. Not sure who but with the weights looking up here just lately I think someone will find that big 10 bass limit. emoDance Just to remind all those fishing "NEW" for the classic this year is an "OFF LIMITS" time. Starting on Weds. Nov. 4th at 11:59 PM you cannot be on the lake until the start of the Classic. I believe it actually says you are not even suppose to talk to someone who has been. I would bet that will be on the polygraph so don't forget that. emoTskTsk

With the water down more then normal for this one you also need to be extra safe on where you are running. That hump right out in front of the ramp at Chester Frost might even be of concern. Be safe, good luck and let's have a great one! See ya on the water. emoAngler Jmax

Can't wait to see how it all unfolds and who wins. If anyone can really kick the Chicks butt, it's the CBA guys. Y'all really know what you're doing out there! Best of luck to all that are fishing.

I believe the weights will be higher this year, water is up a little and TVA's upcoming schedule looks good. I'm going to Guess around 45lbs will win. Don't forget about the head of the hooch for anyone planning on locking thru.
