Let me ask you a question. When is a good time to reseed my lawn. I killed it off at end of summer/beginning of fall so I can reseed. Wife got pregnant so I put that project on hold, but I was able to kill everything. So my lawn is embarrassing. Basically i leave my leaves on the ground so no one can see my lawn. Haha. But how much would you quote for rekilling and reseeding about half an acre?

Early fall is actually the best time to seed. It can be done in spring but it gets so hot, so fast here in the south that the heat kills the new grass before it gets established really good. If you do have it done in the spring it would require frequent watering, 3-4 times a week. Your odds of success in establishing a nice lawn would be much better in the fall.

Thats what I thought, but was told early spring would work too. If im going to do something, i want to do it right. Like my signature says "do it right, do it light, do it wrong, do it long".

Best time to seed the lawn is fall.
2nd best time to seed lawn is NEXT fall.

Just put down a couple truckloads of zoysia sod. You will have the nicest yard in the neighborhood then.

You dont have to put a lot of zoysia down. It will spread on its own and will make you the prettiest, most trouble free lawn you can imagine.
