Open TX Chick Dam 11/7/09 results

Results are in we had 8 boats and some beautiful weather. I wish the fish would have been more cooperative. I am kicking around doing an afternoon tx
sometime in the next few weekends with the evening bite being so hot. Thanks to everyone that came out and fished.

Eddie Wilson and Don Lamb won today with 13.80 for (196.00) 4 fish
Tim and Chrissy 2nd with 11.90 (84.00)and the big fish at 5.65 (40.00) 3 fish
Daniels and Simpson 11.23
Watts 10.69
Tom Walker 9.63

Had a good time fishing with Ben we just couldnt find the fish like these guys did but if we could have weighed in a Striper we might have been in the money Thanks for putting it on Thomas I like the idea of an afternoon tourney </p>

Pic makes it look small this thing was an easy 10+ biggest Stripe i have seen on the Chick in a long time.. might have to try and target them some emoScratch Best part was he caught it on a big roster tail emoUpsmile Thomas maybe you will buy some now next time you to go to Bass Pro

It was fun I did not get in the money but still caught 10 fish of which 7 kept if you count the spot that was 14 inches long that I did not get rid of until 11:00 am. The fish were scattered and hit three different bates in three different structures. Look forward to fishing with you guys again soon. emoToast

WTG GUYS! I was out there later and the afternoon bite really never took off near the dam. I saw a couple of you near BT and GP.

Yeah and technically Michael Jackson was married and had three kids. Thanks again for coming out to fish I will work on putting something together for an afternoon tx.

Sounds like a fun time....not bad for a opening day of Muzzle loading season. emoAngel I would have been out in the woods myself if I had not promised those three guys from VA a weekend of fishing.

Enjoyed Will on back seat, sorry we could not get on fish that would commit.......several strikes, would not hook up, only had a few slicks between us. Nice day on water.........

Most of my trips now are the last 3 hrs of the evening and the bite has been good. Not great but I've been hooking more keepers than shorts. Maybe the surface temps as mentioned was the reason. A Friday or Saturday afternoon tx sounds pretty cool. Many of us hunters could also make the trip out since we don't have to give up a morning in the woods.
