Outdoor Chattanooga

Hey guys, I work for the City as the webmaster. Today while working on Outdoor Chattanooga's site I was talking with some of the people in the department when Fishing came up.. Ok so I really asked why they weren't promoting the area's best attraction more. To which Phillip Grimes comes around the corner and says that is exactly what he wants to do, but they are not sure how to start. So, they are looking for suggestions, so far we are thinking of a Family tournamet in the Greenway Farms Quary or at the riverpark. Some day they want to sponsor Bass Tourney's at the riverpark.

Anyways, they've asked me for suggestions and thought a lot of you would have some great ideas as well. What to be a part of something from the ground up? Here's the chance. Give me some ideas. What Can the city do with outdoor chattanooga to promote fishing in chattanooga for the citizen of the metro area, eve3ntually promoting it out regionally? I promise your answers will be heard by the appropriate people.

Outdoor chattanooga is promotes Outdoor Activities in and around the chattanooga area. I know they want to start in city limits, but it won't stop there. One thing said while I was there is that they feel Bass fishermen were push from the river to the lake when the riverpark was built and now that want to reverse that.

I don't control the content, but while I was there I did show this site and suggested just that.

Super idea, Dhaun! I hope they do it, I think it would benefit all!

A great way to get national attention for the city would be to host a B.A.S.S. or FLW tournament. I'm sure if the city contacted the BASS or FLW they could work something out.
If BASS and FLW still think the Chick. doesn't produce quaility and numbers of bass since the milfoil is gone, have them check the CBA and other tournament results.

BASS and FLW both are aware of what is going on on the Chick.. since the last BASS was not so much the grass gone, but a fallout with local officials, and it appears once you bite BASS in the butt they just dont play with you anymore emoSmile if city of Chattanooga wanted them here they would kiss and make up.
