Talk about poor calls deciding the fate of the game! emoDoh Stayed up last night to watch the game, got to admit I was rooting for the Packers more then the Seahawks. emoRolleyes They say that stadium has a 12th man and that is the crowd. I think that is wrong, the 12th man last night were the refs. Two really bad calls and one no call gave that game to the Seahawks. emoConfused One interference call that was a offensive one was called on the defense. Then the Hail Marry pass where there was another offensive pass interference that was a no call and an interception that was called a completion. emoBang

I can tell you this, if I was the Packers I would not be happy this morning. That was the worse calling I believe I have ever seen in a major NFL game, I thought the replays being used were suppose to correct this kind of stuff. If it was it did not work last night. Everyone who was watching that game knew better but the call was not changed to an interception. One ref was signaling a touchdown and one ref was singling an interception. They went with the bad call of a touchdown. I really feel bad for Greenbay. emoBooHoo Jmax

Watched it. Refs made the right call (finally) on the Hail Mary. If Defender (Jennings) were to intercept the ball, he must have complete possesion. When Tate landed on his back, Jennings was touching the ball, but didn't completely possess it, as Tate had his hands on it and game is over. Jennings needed to completely strip the ball. Wild ending to the game, and it sucks to lose that way for GB but it was the correct call. Many other bad calls through out the game, but that was not one of them. PS trying to say pass interference on last second Hail Mary doesn't work either, that is just never called.

what I saw was Jennings with the ball clutched to his chest and both arms around it. Just because Tate reached around and had a hand on it doesn`t justify possesion. Hell, he had it clutched to Jennings chest too !

It is how you want to read it, if the defender comes down with the ball held to his chest, both hands and arms around the ball, as Jenning did in this case and the offensive player only had his arm in there trying to strip the ball from him then the defender has the true reception upon coming down. Game over, interseption. We can go on and on about this one but the reception was made by Jennings and in the pile up the ball was taken away after the whistle blew and Jennings let it go. With all due respect I disagree with the way that was called. I guess from this day forward all Hail Marry passes now have an open door to pass interferance. emoRolleyes Jmax

It really does not matter what I think, they called it wrong in my opinion but the Seahawks have the "W", end of story. emoGeezer

Agree with bullshot. Right call. Give credit to Tate for not giving up. Just because Jennings touched it first doesn't mean he caught it. You have to maintain possession all the way to the ground and it has to be indisputable to overturn the call on the field which is at a much faster speed than the replays. Let's all cry for the Packers - Boo Hoo!!!

:) I'm not gonna cry for the Packers because frankly I dont like them. On a lighter note how bout the dirty bird Falcons? An elegant display of shear dominance of the Chargers emoHoppingmad

If that was the right call then why is it all the ESPN is talking about and needing the real refs back. Actually the scenario you guys describe is a simultaneous catch which that was not.
