Panama City Suggestions

I usually vacation on Tybee Island or Myrtle Beach, but this year, my sister suggested I ought to give Panama City Beach a try. Any input on this compared to Tybee or Myrtle? I'd like to find a decent motel/hotel down there and I am not into fancy pools, valets, and all that. Just need a clean, reasonable, beach front hotel suggestion. Any fishing areas or guide information down that way would be appreciated also.

This is who I use when I go they have many different condos they own and the price of a condo on the beach is the same price for a hotel on the beach and I'm going in a few weeks myself I always like this time of year down there because no crowds and easy to go out to eat and not wait in line and the price drops too compared to summer rates

I went to PCB 3 weeks ago and used a private charter called "Team Aquatic Fishing Team" w/ Captain Matt Montague out of the BOATHOUSE beside Captain Anderson's. Really cool guide. Put us on some nice Grouper. Also caught several other species of fish.

Its been a few years, but we always stayed at the Boardwalk Beach Resort during Thunderbeach. For the price, was hard to beat and was on the beach. Nothing fancy

I stayed at Sterling Breeze - http://www.sterlingbreeze.com/ Very nice, on the beach, but maybe a little pricey.

I also went out with http://www.fishosprey.com/ Had a great time fishing close to shore.

The BOARDWALK RESORT is pretty nice for the cheaper pricing and located with in walking distance of Pineapple Willey's there food is pretty good and it has a tiki bar if you like to have a late even cocktail or early morning Bloody Mary,and Holiday Resort is very nice but a little pricey.
