Parksville 8/2/06

Went this morning, and luanched the boat at 7:30. We started throwing Pop-Rs, nothing, so we then put on finesse worms(white), and caught about 10 total spoted bass, 1 keeper at 14 inches. I lost a largemouth that had to be about 4-5pounds.emoDoh It grabed the worm and I gave it like 3 seconds and yanked, had him hooked, then he swam fast down deep in the water and the hook ripped right out of his mouthemoBang. We had like 30 bites today, the spots couldn't grab the whole lure so it was hard to get them hooked! Well this was one of the best fishing trips that I have had in a while! I might be planning on going back with 2jigs.

Well I actually didn't, that's because the white finesse worms were hot!. On the Chick, the finesse worm doesn't work to well for me, but the countdown does, I think it has to do with water clearity.

Good job Kevin! Glad you got a few in there. Parksville can be a rough lake to fish at times. Don't let those spots fool you, they can take a lot more than a finnesse worm down! Good report and good luck!.. Hey the countdown works up there too!emoThumbsup
