Made my first trip to parksville lake and had a blast !It took a couple of hours to really key in on a pattern but once we did we caught a ton of fish.We caught them on 6 inch.smoke and purple finess worms texas rigged with 1/8oz weights.
None of the fish were very big (10in. to 12in.)all spotted bass, but boy those were the prettiest most hard fighting bass I've caught in a long time! We fished the lower part of the lake near the dam and just about all of the fish came off of primary pionts with a few coming from the back of the coves.shade seemed to be the the best place to find them untill the sun started to sink then we found a bit more surface action with spittin images and sammies.I would love to spend some time up there and learn the lake better and perfect my drop shotting as this would be a perfect place for it with it's ultra clear water and depth.Does anyone know what the major forage is on that lake?We had a couple of fish puke some very tiny minnows out as we let them go but I couldn't tell what they were.Great day on a great little lake!
