Hey gang. A buddy and I hit Parksville (Ocoee Lake) Saturday. We launched at 6:45am and fished until 1pm. We fished spooks and buzzbaits until the sun got too high and then went deep with Spotstickers and drop-shots. Only one keeper spot to speak of. I did have a good size smallie take a swipe at a floating worm and bit it in half. Water temp was 77 and visibility was about 3-4 feet.
We normally fish the Chick and since we live in Cleve, we're trying to learn more about Parksville. I take my sea kayak there all the time and even camp out there a lot, but learning to fish it has proven difficult The deep clear water is really intimidating and we would much rather be pitching jigs on heavy braid, but those Spots are F-U-N!
Any advice is appreciated. Now that they are beginning to school on the Chick, I'll be migrating back that way, but I'm eager to learn more about Parksville.
