Parksville Lake Level this year

Anybody know what the deal is with the lake not being dropped this year. I see its current level is similar to summer levels

I think they have decided to keep it at summer pool all year long now for good.

Nah if you look closely at last year color in black they started drawing down in November. We had that big rain last year and the water shot up right at the end of December on all lakes. Fishing was unbelievable!</p>

 Nah if you look closely at last year color in black they started drawing down in November.  We had that big rain last year and the water shot up right at the end of December on all lakes. Fishing was unbelievable!</p>

Well the next time "fishing is unbelievable" give me a shout... I will leave work immediately I cant ever seem to find those spots over there.

Or you can take me with you and I will return the favor with a Kayak trip to my secret honey hole ... HA!!

Parksville gets really good when the water gets high and muddy. You can just go around and throw med chartreuse cranks and jigs pretty much anywhere. I had to secretly follow "Sasha" around and then I figured out everything! haha I can't lie, in the back of my mind I have been thinking about those Secret little lakes you speak of!! In the summer and fall I just run around looking for those Spots coming up and busting bait fish and I'll just throw a spook all day and you can literally catch them all day. I'll be off work till march and basically fishing every day or every other so I'll let you know!</p>

Yeah that flood knocked the boards off, also warmed the water temp up 12 degrees.

Thinking about going to parksville. tomorrow. Any body have any recent reports. And what i should throw. Have been there once loved it. Any information will be helpful

Fished the Park Tuesday and Wednesday caught fish on Float an Fly early then changed over to drop shot 4in dead ringer green pumpkin in 35 to 50 ft didn't catch any below the island.

I talked to a ranger up there. If I remember correctly he said they decided to quit changing the level because they determined that was making more pollutants release from the soil... or something to that effect. He also said the pollution level in the lake had gotten to a lower level, so maybe that is why they stopped doing it. I forgot.
