Sometime last year there was questions from MadBomber and some others as to having a lake map of Parksville. While there are no printed maps of the lake, MadBomber bought and scanned a good topo map of the area. Venom295 said that we would get together and make up a map and I asked MadBomber to e-mail me the copy of the map that he had aquired.

After sometime looking at old maps that we both had and using paint shop, we have made up a little overlay for Parksville. This is info that has been aquired over several years of fishing this lake by myself and others.

The map is too big to post on here but I am willing to e-mail a copy of it to anyone who may be interested. It has a lot of the better areas marked and it shows rocks, timber and a few pointers to fishing this lake. If you want a copy of it just e-mail me at [email protected] and ask for the map. Be sure to put the word MAP in the subject line as I may not recognize who is wanting it as I delete all my junk mail without opening it.I will try to send it to you as soon as possible.

It's not the best but it will give you some starting points and for the ones that knows the lake it will give you a few extra places to check out.

This is a really nice map fisherpal2k - Very generous and informative. The price is right too!

Click on this link. This is a BIG map but will probably be resized by your browser. You need to adjust the zoom in your browser to see all the detail in full size. You can also right click on the image in your browser and then click "Save Picture As" to save it to your hard drive and view it with other imaging software. I also added this to the CFF Links page for future reference. Nice work - Thanks!

Big Parksville Lake Map - Good Stuff!

RE: Firefox and Parksville Lake Map

Map works great in my Firefox browser.

It initially opens in full view but cursor turns into a "Plus" sign and clicking on the map blows it up to a very readable size with scroll bars on side and bottom that let you navigate around the lake.

Thanks

Dang fisherpal, you just marked every spot I have on that lake!

No joke. fisherpal2k is officially suspended for a period of 48 hours to think about the ramifications of his simple, kind gesture. It's this kind of generosity that's making this Forum go to hell in a handbasket. Unbeliveable, the nerve of some people...

Anybody got a color printer???

Well, he gave away all of the spot spots, but he didn't tell everyone where the largemouth liveemoEvil everyone's got to have a couple of secrets.
But seriously,That map will save someone alot of time searching that lake for productive spots.Cheaters............

Well, you are right. I didn't tell all and won't. There are a few places left to fish up there and maybe even catch a few on.

I was just tryin' to be nice and like I told you last year, It's not like anyone is gonna get lost on the lake, it just makes it a little easier for the few who have never been there.

Fisherpal, thanks for taking to time and helping me provide this map to the people on CFF. To some people on this site that has all the experience on this lake you probably wont need to look at this map, but to the people that are wanting to go to parksville and learn the lake a little bit this will be a great help. Seems like some people has forgot that we are on this site to learn a little bit about fishing and help other people grow in there fishing as well. I give this map to Fisher to put on here to help not to offend anyone, so lets not start blasting fisher for something I ask him to do because I come on here and said I had a map and wanted to share it, he just handed the details for me. Anyway, I hope this helps anyone that fishes parksville.

Venom, if you go back and read my posts about parksville You'll see that I've probably given up more tips on how to fish this lake than anyone on this board.
Chill brother.:)

emoUpsmile Yeah - I guess "kind gesture" and "generosity" flew under the radar. No matter. It was all in fun. It's awesome that fisherpal2k shared that with everyone ... seriously. It's been so long that I've had a REAL rant, that Venom just didn't know the difference! emoLaugh

Hey man its like you said, It's all good. No pressure from anyone and it is for fun. Venom has put a lot of time in on this map just as I have and I don't think there is any hard feelings anywhere.

Looks like community holes to me.There's not a problem with helping people but the guys who have fished the lake for years took the time to learn the lake. That's the fun part of fishing. The best advice i can give is to use a bubble deep diving hula popper. It works everytime.emoQuestion

I actually own a deep diving hula popper. I'm with you fisher-o-men the lake gets hammered alot more these days. Keep your lures wet and lets all just have fun.
