Parksville/Murphy camping

My wife and I have the last week of the month off, and are looking to do some camping. We really want to be either on the water, or a pretty short walk to it, somewhere near Parksville Lake or the Murphy, NC area.
Interested in doing some fishing (not trout). I know Parksville is a good option, and maybe Hiwasee Lake. Will be tent/hammock camping.
Any campgrounds that my fellow CFF-ers have used and or recommend? I know Google has "all" the answers, but would rather hear from you guys.

Lots of good camping spots on Parksville that are accessible by boat. The two islands out from the dam are the most popular.

Hiwassee River just over the Mountain from Parksville has a lot to offer. Liberal camping regulations along the river. Several campground options.
