Well, we came into this hyped up and ready for action. We were very very confindent until blast off...we were sitting there waiting for the signal and looked at the Depth Finder 60+ foot of water????

Oh well, lets hit it...We started off throwing top water. BPrice was throwing a pop-r and I was using a Spit N' Image. First things first, those lil fish up there fight like big ones. They didnt hesitate to hit that big SpitN' Image or the Pop-R. BPrice caught our first and only keeper off the PopR.

We thought the top water bite had died, but the pop r worked for him all day. I started throwing a 4 in pearl senko-knock off and boated several fish...all short. I had a fish nail a Sizmic toad but the bait was too big for the fishes mouth!!! He hit it three times but never could get it in his mouth, little bitty bass.

I haven't fished water that clear ever, it was amazing other than the top water bite, being able to watch the fish hit your lure that deep.

We had a blast nontheless, might make a trip back up there one of these days.

P-Loafer....

Thanks to all the folks, RangerRob, Fisherpal2k, and Flip for all the tips you gave me for this lake.

We caught fish all day long, just not the keepers we needed.

We began the day as TaterLoaf said with topwater... we shot all the way back into Indian Creek, and fished the north bank blowdowns initially. We had several topwater bites early. We also threw flukes, crig, traps, spinnerbaits, and the rest of the kitchen sink at them, but couldn't get a non-slick bite.

Next we crigged some main lake points, but this proved unsuccessful.

We then rode the lake looking for pockets with logjams in the back of them. I had several blow ups in those areas on a Pop-R and as TLoaf said, he caught some fish off a Senko. I pitched a creature bait into the mess but never could get any bites.

We then slid way back in Sylco Creek, and landed some fish, but once again no keepers.

It was a tough day for us in the realm of keeper fish, but we did catch a good amount of fish, and absolutely had a blast on the water just cuttin' up and having a good time. Right there shows why I am probably not a very good tournament fisherman, because I had fun even though we got whipped. Oh well... good times anyway

I was elated to see you and Tater make the trek up here to fish P'ville. I knew you would both be in for a completely new experience, but sucked it up and joined the frey regardless. P'ville is NOT a first-timer's lake and you two made the best of it. The rookie blues are shaken off now and it won't be such a kick in the pants next time.

Two thumbs up bros!!

Glad you guys had fun and sorry things didn't work out better. Wish ya'll had got a few keepers in there but things are a lil different up there. Maybe next time you can come in and wrap it up. Thanks for the reports and info.

After reading reports, and learning a thing or two, I'm really wanting to give 'er another shot. Its just an expensive trip for me to pull off. Maybe soon I'll make a weekend out of it, Chick one day and Parksville the next.
