Hey folks, lots of people talk about getting into the back of Mud Creek... Here is my best Google Earth shot at getting back there from what I remember from last spring.  Anybody got any better paths for traveling between the bridges??  After that I just idle everywhere...

That's the best path Brandon and unless you're very familiar with the area, slow going or trolling once you're past the bridge. I've actually been all the way back past the RR bridge a couple of times but with someone who knows the only shallow trail back there.

That's the best by far. If you get off the side it gets shallow really quick and there are tons of big stumps hungry for a lower unit.

From someone who's never been in the creek, what area of the creek gets the most pressure? between bridges, behind bridges?

Bprice - 1/14/2008 5:49 PM On 3/17/08 I counted around 25 boats North of the 72 bridge, most were hauling water though :)

Nope, it will be past the second bridge. Past it, there could be 40-50 boats at times. It gets nuts!!! Actually amazing to see!

Thats pretty close. To run further back the creek channel gets a little bit shallower better keep her trimmed up you can get out of it in a hurry. It's amazing that there is still some big ole chestnut stumps in Guntersville, especially in that area. They have been extinct for some time.
